Emi’s musical journey began at age 5, trained at Yamaha Music Malaysia and private tuition. She completed ABRSM Grades 2, 3, and 4 within just 12 months, later achieving Grade 8 and performing in numerous concerts and festivals.

After earning an LLB Law (Hons) from Coventry University, Emi spent over two decades building a successful career across financial services and energy sectors in London's square mile. Her deep-rooted passion for music led her to establish Emi Piano Studio - now a thriving, award winning studio with a 100% ABRSM success rate, with students regularly achieving Merits and Distinctions. Students perform confidently at our bi-annual student recitals, local concerts, community outreach showcases, and music festivals across Bromley, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Blackheath and Tunbridge Wells, and demand for lessons continues to grow.

The studio is proudly inclusive, welcoming learners of all backgrounds and abilities, and we actively work with local schools and care homes to provide meaningful community-outreach performances that bring music to those who need it most.

Today, Emi blends her classical training with modern innovation and corporate discipline to help students discover the joy and power of music. The studio is redefining how children learn piano - moving away from rigid, traditional methods towards a dynamic, joyful, and highly engaging learning experience. By combining time-tested techniques with modern methods, Emi gives students the best of both worlds: a solid musical foundation and a contemporary approach that truly inspires. The result? Children don’t just learn piano, they fall in love with it.

Emi is a member of the Independent Society of Musicians (ISM) and the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA), holds a DBS Enhanced Certificate, and is trained in Child Protection in Education (Music) and Workplace First Aid.

Emi Piano Studio is the winner of Best Start-Up at the Above & Beyond Bromley Business Awards 2025, a testament to the community’s trust in our unique approach and the work we do.

Outside the studio, Emi enjoys travelling, cycling, hiking, and theatre. A history enthusiast with a passion for interior design, she also enjoys cooking and drawing.

"Playing the piano is not just about hitting the right keys, it's about expressing your emotions and telling a story through music. My goal as a piano teacher is to help my students develop their own unique musical voice and find joy in the process of learning and playing the piano."
